For more information on this award, please refer to the<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fairwork.gov.au\/employment-conditions\/awards\/awards-summary\/ma000028-summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Horticulture Award <\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"title-idx-0\" class=\"icon-anchor\">What is the Horticulture Award ?<\/h2>\n<p>The Horticulture Award is an industrial award in Australia that outlines the terms and conditions of employment for workers in the horticulture industry, including wages, allowances, working hours, leave entitlements, and other employment conditions.<\/p>\n<p>It applies to employers and employees covered by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) who are involved in horticultural enterprises, plant nurseries, vineyards, silviculture and afforestation, or the wine industry. Annual leave does not apply to a casual employee.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Employers can convert annual leave to hourly entitlement for administrative ease.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Employees should be paid the wages they would have earned if not on leave.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">EFT payment can continue during annual leave.
