It is applicable when an employee leaves employment.<\/p>\n<p>IR56G is \u201cNotification by an employer of an employee who is about to depart from Hong Kong\u201d. It is applicable when the employee leaves Hong Kong for a long or permanent period.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"title-idx-2\" class=\"icon-anchor\">What should we do before an employee who is about to resign?<\/h2>\n<p>We are required to submit IR56F form: \u201cnotification by an employer of an employee who is about to cease to be employed\u201d to the Inland Revenue Department 1 month before date of cessation.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"title-idx-3\" class=\"icon-anchor\">Besides the personal information for IR56F, what other information is needed?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Date of resignation<\/li>\n<li>Reason for resignation<\/li>\n<li>All earnings from 1 April to the date of resignation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Severance payment\/long service payment made under Employment Ordinance should not be included.
